My New 4AM Routine
Updated due to life circumstances
My 4AM morning routine was one of my most popular blog articles.
But due to life circumstances, changing schedules, and various demands, my 4AM schedule is not as smooth as it once was.
When people mention their morning routine, most probably assume that you have to do all the self-care things right then. This would include your workouts, meditation, reading, journaling and relaxing by yourself. Ideally this is best because the morning time is when your mind is the most clear and open.
However, life likes to throw curveballs at you which requires adjusting expectations and adapting.
This is what I had to do at the start of the Fall.
Due to parenting demands, my original 4AM wakeup time went from me having 4 hours of solid solo and work time to myself from 4–8AM to only having 1.5 hours from 430–6AM. My time is cut short due to needing to drive a 60 min round trip for both school drop off and pick up.
So with a smaller chunk of time…
